Somatic Bodywork
I created this space for those moments when your body no longer knows how to slow down, when you're physically exhausted, but your mind continues to race. In today's fast paced world, chronic stress, tension, and nervous system dysregulation have become increasingly common, leaving many people feeling disconnected from rest and relaxation.
At Precision Lymphatics in Nesconset, NY, we offer gentle, nervous system-focused therapeutic bodywork for clients throughout Stony Brook, Smithtown, Ronkonkoma, and Suffolk County. Many people seek this work because touch feels overwhelming, they are living with chronic pain or tension, or deeper bodywork simply isn't accessible to them right now. Others are accustomed to constantly pushing through, staying busy, and carrying stress in their bodies without ever fully slowing down.
This work is intentionally gentle, responsive, and trauma-informed. Using light, precise touch and moments of stillness, sessions are designed to support nervous system regulation, promote relaxation, and help the body shift out of a constant state of stress. There is no pressure to perform, release emotions, or respond in a certain way. Your body is given the space and time it needs to settle naturally.
Over time, this approach may help reduce physical holding patterns, improve body awareness, promote a sense of safety, and support deeper rest and recovery. Each session is guided by what your body can comfortably receive that day, with the goal of helping your system regulate, restore balance, and experience greater ease and well-being.

Feeling Nervous? That's Completely Okay.
Many people feel nervous before their first somatic session, especially if slowing down feels unfamiliar or if touch has felt overwhelming in the past. You are always in control of your experience. There is no pressure to talk, process emotions, or respond in any particular way.
Your session moves at your pace. You may ask questions, request adjustments, or pause at any time. The goal is simply to provide a safe space where your body can rest, regulate, and feel supported.
At Precision Lymphatics, we honor your comfort, boundaries, and individual needs every step of the way.
What to Expect

During your session, you will remain comfortably draped while receiving light, intentional touch and periods of stillness. Treatment may include gentle therapeutic contact, grounding techniques, breath awareness, and mindfulness practices designed to calm the nervous system and promote relaxation. Every session is individualized and guided by your comfort level, allowing your body to receive only what feels supportive that day.
Clients often report experiencing deep relaxation, warmth, heaviness, improved body awareness, emotional release, and a greater sense of calm and well-being. Some notice immediate relief from stress and tension, while others experience gradual improvements over time as the nervous system develops new patterns of safety, resilience, and regulation.
After Your Somatic Therapy Session
To maximize the benefits of your treatment, please follow these recommendations:

✓ Allow yourself time to rest and integrate the experience, especially if you feel deeply relaxed or tired.
✓ Engage in gentle movement, such as walking or stretching, to support circulation and nervous system regulation.
✓ Notice any changes in your body, mood, or energy levels without judgment or expectation.
✓ Practice slow, mindful breathing if you feel emotional or notice sensations arising after treatment.
✓ Be gentle with yourself and avoid over-scheduling or rushing back into a busy routine when possible.
✓ Journal or reflect on your experience if that feels supportive to your healing process.
✓ Honor your body's cues for rest, nourishment, movement, or quiet time.
✓ Temporary feelings of fatigue, emotional release, or increased body awareness are normal as your nervous system processes and integrates the session.
✓ Reach out with any questions or concerns following your appointment.
Please note: Somatic Bodywork supports nervous system regulation and relaxation. Each person's experience is unique, and changes may be immediate or develop gradually over time as the body learns new patterns of safety and ease.
